Bill Title: Amends the Park District Code. Provides that a park district may enter into a lease for a period of not to exceed 8 years (rather than 5 years) for equipment and machinery after an affirmative vote of two-thirds of the governing board of the park district. Effective immediately.

AN ACT concerning local government.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The Park District Code is amended by changing
Section 8-13 as follows:
(70 ILCS 1205/8-13) (from Ch. 105, par. 8-13)
Sec. 8-13. In addition to the other powers and authority
now possessed by it, every park district may enter into a lease
for a period of not to exceed 8 5 years for such equipment and
machinery as may be required for corporate purposes when
authorized by the affirmative vote of two-thirds of the
governing board of the park district.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
becoming law.
