1 AN ACT concerning employment.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The One Day Rest In Seven Act is amended by
5 changing Section 1 as follows:
6 (820 ILCS 140/1) (from Ch. 48, par. 8a)
7 Sec. 1. The The words and phrases mentioned in this
8 section, as used in this Act, and in proceedings pursuant
9 hereto shall, unless the same be inconsistent with the context,
10 be construed as follows:
11 "Employer" shall mean a person, partnership, joint stock
12 company or corporation, which employs any person to work, labor
13 or exercise skill in connection with the operation of any
14 business, industry, vocation or occupation.
