| 1 | AN ACT concerning business.
| |||||||||||||||||||
| 2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, | |||||||||||||||||||
| 3 | represented in the General Assembly:
| |||||||||||||||||||
| 4 | Section 5. The Automotive Collision Repair Act is amended | |||||||||||||||||||
| 5 | by changing Section 25 as follows:
| |||||||||||||||||||
| 6 | (815 ILCS 308/25)
| |||||||||||||||||||
| 7 | Sec. 25. Estimated price insufficient. If it is determined | |||||||||||||||||||
| 8 | that
that the
estimated price is
insufficient because of | |||||||||||||||||||
| 9 | unforeseen circumstances, the consumer's consent must
be | |||||||||||||||||||
| 10 | obtained before
the work estimated is done or parts estimated | |||||||||||||||||||
| 11 | are supplied. If the consumer's
consent is
oral, the motor | |||||||||||||||||||
| 12 | vehicle collision repair facility shall make a notation on the
| |||||||||||||||||||
| 13 | work
order or
estimate and on the invoice of the date, time, | |||||||||||||||||||
| 14 | name of person authorizing the
additional
repairs, and | |||||||||||||||||||
| 15 | telephone number called, if any, together with a specification | |||||||||||||||||||
| 16 | of
the
additional parts and labor and the total additional | |||||||||||||||||||
| 17 | cost. | |||||||||||||||||||
