Amends the Illinois Municipal Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning uniformity of taxes.

1 AN ACT concerning local government.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Municipal Code is amended by
5changing Section 8-3-5 as follows:
6 (65 ILCS 5/8-3-5) (from Ch. 24, par. 8-3-5)
7 Sec. 8-3-5. All taxes levied by a municipality, except
8special assessments for local improvements, shall be uniform
9upon all taxable property and and persons within the limits of
10the municipality, and no property shall be exempt therefrom
11other than such property as may be exempt from taxation under
12the constitution and general laws of the State.
