Bill Title: Amends the Medical Assistance Article of the Illinois Public Aid Code. Provides that if a Medicaid enrollee of a managed care organization is referred by his or her primary care provider to another provider who was on the in-network referral list provided by the managed care organization for a medical service, the managed care organization must cover the medical service from that provider if it was a covered service on the date of referral.

305 ILCS 5/5-30.15 new

Amends the Medical Assistance Article of the Illinois Public Aid Code. 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by
5adding Section 5-30.15 as follows:
6 (305 ILCS 5/5-30.15 new)
7 Sec. 5-30.15. Guaranteed coverage for referral services;
8managed care. If a Medicaid enrollee of a managed care
9organization is referred by his or her primary care provider
10to another provider who was on the in-network referral list
11provided by the managed care organization for a medical
12service, the managed care organization must cover the medical
