1 AN ACT concerning civil law.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Code of Civil Procedure is amended by
5changing Section 8-402 as follows:
6 (735 ILCS 5/8-402) (from Ch. 110, par. 8-402)
7 Sec. 8-402. Production of books and writings. The The
8circuit courts shall have power, in any action pending before
9them, upon motion, and good and sufficient cause shown, and
10reasonable notice thereof given, to require the parties, or
11either of them, to produce books or writings in their
12possession or power which contain evidence pertinent to the
13issue.
