1 | AN ACT concerning revenue.

2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, | |||||||||||||||||||
3 | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | Section 5. The Property Tax Code is amended by changing | |||||||||||||||||||
5 | Section 16-175 as follows:

7 | Sec. 16-175. Subpoenas. The
The Chairman of the Property | |||||||||||||||||||
8 | Tax Appeal Board or
his or her designee may issue subpoenas | |||||||||||||||||||
9 | which shall be served by any person
lawfully authorized to | |||||||||||||||||||
10 | serve a subpoena under the laws of the State of
Illinois. In | |||||||||||||||||||
11 | case of disobedience to a subpoena, the Board may petition any
| |||||||||||||||||||
12 | circuit court of the State for an order requiring the | |||||||||||||||||||
13 | attendance and testimony
of witnesses. Witnesses attending any | |||||||||||||||||||
14 | hearing held by the Property Tax Appeal
Board, pursuant to any | |||||||||||||||||||
15 | subpoena, shall be paid the same fees and mileage that
are paid | |||||||||||||||||||
16 | witnesses in the circuit courts of the State. | |||||||||||||||||||
