| 1 | AN ACT concerning regulation.

| 2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, | |||||||||||||||||||
| 3 | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | Section 5. The Clinical Psychologist Licensing Act is | |||||||||||||||||||
| 5 | amended by changing Section 1 as follows:

| 8 | Sec. 1.
The
The practice of clinical psychology in | |||||||||||||||||||
| 9 | Illinois is hereby
declared to affect the public health, | |||||||||||||||||||
| 10 | safety and welfare, and to be subject
to regulations in the | |||||||||||||||||||
| 11 | public interest to protect the public from
persons who are | |||||||||||||||||||
| 12 | unauthorized or unqualified to represent themselves as
| |||||||||||||||||||
| 13 | clinical psychologists or as being able to render clinical | |||||||||||||||||||
| 14 | psychological
services as herein defined, and from | |||||||||||||||||||
| 15 | unprofessional
conduct by persons licensed to practice | |||||||||||||||||||
| 16 | clinical psychology. This Act
shall be known and may be cited | |||||||||||||||||||
| 17 | as the "Clinical Psychologist Licensing Act". | |||||||||||||||||||
