Provides that the Department of Revenue shall not require a taxpayer, whether an individual, not-for-profit, or business entity, to collect and furnish to the Department individual tax identification information from vendors that participate in an event hosted or sponsored by the taxpayer. Effective immediately.

20 ILCS 2505/2505-811 new

    Amends the Department of Revenue Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. 1    AN ACT concerning revenue.
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4    Section 5. The Department of Revenue Law of the Civil
5Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by adding Section
62505-811 as follows:
7    (20 ILCS 2505/2505-811 new)
8    Sec. 2505-811. Collection of individualized tax
9identification data. The Department shall not require a
10taxpayer, whether an individual, not-for-profit, or business
11entity, to collect and furnish to the Department individual
12tax identification information from vendors that participate
13in an event hosted or sponsored by the taxpayer.
14    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
15becoming law.
