AN ACT concerning transportation.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by changing
Section 18c-7101 as follows:

Sec. 18c-7101. Jurisdiction Over Rail Carriers. The The
jurisdiction of the Commission under this Sub-chapter shall be
exclusive and shall extend to all intrastate and interstate
rail carrier operations within this State, except to the extent
that its jurisdiction is preempted by valid provisions of the
Staggers Rail Act of 1980 or other valid federal statute,
regulation, or order.
