Bill Title: Amends the Illinois Municipal Code. Provides that the corporate authorities of a municipality may adopt an ordinance to prohibit or regulate the location of vending machines that provide an enclosed space or designated area for the use of a customer for pet grooming using goods or services dispensed by the machine. Effective immediately.

| 1 | AN ACT concerning local government.
| ||||||
| 2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
| ||||||
| 3 | represented in the General Assembly:
| ||||||
| 4 | Section 5. The Illinois Municipal Code is amended by | ||||||
| 5 | adding Section 1-2-1.3 as follows:

| 6 | (65 ILCS 5/1-2-1.3 new) | ||||||
| 7 | Sec. 1-2-1.3. Pet grooming vending machines. The corporate | ||||||
| 8 | authorities of a municipality may adopt an ordinance to | ||||||
| 9 | prohibit or regulate the location of vending machines that | ||||||
| 10 | provide an enclosed space or designated area for the use of a | ||||||
| 11 | customer for pet grooming using goods or services dispensed by | ||||||
| 12 | the machine.

| 13 | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon | ||||||
| 14 | becoming law.
