| 1 | AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 987

| 2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 987 by replacing | ||||||
| 3 | everything after the enacting clause with the following:

| 4 | "Section 5. The Prevailing Wage Act is amended by changing | ||||||
| 5 | Section 12 as follows:
| ||||||
| 6 | (820 ILCS 130/12) (from Ch. 48, par. 39s-12)

| 7 | Sec. 12.
If any section, sentence, clause or part of this | ||||||
| 8 | act, is for
any reason held to be unconstitutional, such | ||||||
| 9 | decision shall not affect
the
the remaining portions of this | ||||||
| 10 | act. The General Assembly hereby declares
that it would have | ||||||
| 11 | passed this Act, and each section, sentence, clause,
or part | ||||||
| 12 | thereof, irrespective of the fact that one or more sections,
| ||||||
| 13 | sentences, clauses, or parts might be declared | ||||||
| 14 | unconstitutional. | ||||||
