Bill Title: Amends the Preventing Sexual Violence in Higher Education Act. Provides that certain higher education institutions shall note any violations of a comprehensive policy on any academic transcripts prepared for a student within 5 years following a finding of a violation. Provides that if a student transfers to another higher education institution, certain higher education institutions must also note the violation on any academic transcripts prepared within the 5 years following a finding of a violation. Limits the provisions to public universities and public community colleges.

AN ACT concerning education.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The Preventing Sexual Violence in Higher
Education Act is amended by adding Section 35 as follows:
(110 ILCS 155/35 new)
Sec. 35. Notations on transcripts.
(a) This Section shall only apply to public universities
and public community colleges and shall not be construed to
apply to any other higher education institutions.
(b) If a student of a public university or public community
college is found by that public university or public community
college to have violated the comprehensive policy adopted under
this Act, the public university or public community college
shall include that violation on any academic transcripts
prepared by the public university or public community college
within the 5 years following the finding of a violation of the
comprehensive policy, including any transcripts sent to other
higher education institutions for the purpose of the student
transferring to another higher education institution. If a
student transfers from a public university or public community
college to another public university or public community
college, the public university or public community college to

which the student transferred shall also include the violation
on any academic transcripts prepared within the 5 years
following the finding of a violation of the comprehensive
policy at the public university or public community college
from which the student transferred.
(c) A public university or public community college shall
only include the violation on an academic transcript if the
finding of a violation of the comprehensive policy occurred
after the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 100th
General Assembly.
