Summary

Amends the North Shore Water Reclamation Act. Provides that, upon a unanimous vote, the board of trustees of a sanitary district created under the Act may elect to raise compensation to $18,750 per year for board members and $21,750 per year for the president of the board. Provides that, at the time or before incurring any indebtedness, the board of trustees of a sanitary district shall provide for the collection of revenue (rather than a direct annual tax) sufficient to pay the interest on such debt as it falls due, and also to pay and discharge the principal thereof as the same shall fall due, and at least within 40 (rather than 20) years from the time of contracting the same.
