Summary

Further amends the Energy Efficient Building Act. Provides that, with respect to the Illinois Stretch Energy Code's commercial components: (1) the Capital Development Board shall create and adopt a stretch energy code with a site energy index no greater than 0.50 of the 2006 International Energy Conservation Code by December 31, 2026 (currently, December 31, 2025); the Capital Development Board shall create and adopt a stretch energy code with a site energy index no greater than 0.44 of the 2006 International Energy Conservation Code by December 31, 2029 (currently, December 31, 2028); and the Capital Development Board shall create and adopt a stretch energy code with a site energy index no greater than 0.44 of the 2006 International Energy Conservation Code by December 31, 2031 (currently, December 31, 2032).
