| 1 | AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 3445 | ||||||
| 2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 3445 on page 4, by | ||||||
| 3 | replacing lines 10 through 13 with the following: | ||||||
| 4 | "physician assistant, or registered nurse. A certified | ||||||
| 5 | dialysis technician shall not be permitted to administer | ||||||
| 6 | heparin and saline to a patient with a central venous | ||||||
| 7 | catheter. | ||||||
| 8 | Additionally, the following conditions must be present: | ||||||
| 9 | (1) the RN or APRN must complete an assessment of the | ||||||
| 10 | patient's nursing care needs prior to the delegation and | ||||||
| 11 | make modifications to the patient's nursing care needs | ||||||
| 12 | during the course of dialysis treatment to address any | ||||||
| 13 | patient problems and complications;". | ||||||
