AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2949
AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2949 as follows:
on page 1, line 5, by replacing "Section 5F-33" with "Sections
5-30.3 and 5F-33"; and
on page 1, immediately after line 5, by inserting the
following:
"(305 ILCS 5/5-30.3 new)
Sec. 5-30.3. Provider inquiry portal. The Department shall
establish no later than January 1, 2017 a web-based portal to
accept inquiries and requests for assistance from managed care
organizations under contract with the State and providers under
contract with managed care organizations to provide direct
care. The portal shall be limited to managed care activities
and shall be available to, at a minimum, accept reports of
violations of State statutes or rules, solicit clarifications,

and request assistance with claims collection. The Department
shall acknowledge receipt of an inquiry or request for
assistance within 36 hours."; and
by deleting line 22 on page 3 through line 15 on page 4.
