AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 938
AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 938 by replacing
everything after the enacting clause with the following:
"Section 5. The Public Higher Education Act is amended by
adding Section 21 as follows:
(110 ILCS 167/21 new)
Sec. 21. Prohibition on release of student information;
third party voter registration activities.
(a) A public institution of higher education may not
release the personally identifiable information of any of its
students to a third party that engages in voter registration
activities.
(b) If a public institution of higher education violates
this Section, the public institution of higher education is
not entitled to State funding for the next fiscal year.".
