AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 136
AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 136 by replacing
everything after the enacting clause with the following:
"Section 5. The Illinois Power Agency Act is amended by
adding Section 1-135 as follows:
(20 ILCS 3855/1-135 new)
Sec. 1-135. Demand response options. The Illinois Power
Agency shall conduct at least one workshop and issue a report
on the level of demand response resources in the Illinois
capacity markets and the benefits that demand response brings
to wholesale markets and demand response providers, and
identify barriers to market participation by consumers. The
report under this Section shall be submitted to the Governor
and the General Assembly, as well as posted on the Internet
website of the Agency, on or before March 1, 2020. This Section
is repealed on January 1, 2021.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
becoming law.".
