| 1 | AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 4884
| ||||||
| 2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4884 by replacing | ||||||
| 3 | everything after the enacting clause with the following:

| 4 | "Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by | ||||||
| 5 | adding Section 12-21.21 as follows:
| ||||||
| 6 | (305 ILCS 5/12-21.21 new) | ||||||
| 7 | Sec. 12-21.21. Federal waiver or State Plan amendment. The | ||||||
| 8 | Department of Healthcare and Family Services and the Department | ||||||
| 9 | of Human Services shall jointly submit the necessary | ||||||
| 10 | application to the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid | ||||||
| 11 | Services for a waiver or State Plan amendment to allow remote | ||||||
| 12 | monitoring and support services as a waiver-reimbursable | ||||||
| 13 | service for persons with intellectual and developmental | ||||||
| 14 | disabilities. The application shall be submitted no later than | ||||||
| 15 | January 1, 2021. | ||||||
| 16 | No later than July 1, 2021, the Department of Human | ||||||
| |||||||
| |||||||
| 1 | Services shall adopt rules to allow remote monitoring and | ||||||
| 2 | support services at community-integrated living arrangements.
| ||||||
| 3 | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon | ||||||
| 4 | becoming law.".
