| 1 | AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 4790

| 2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4790 on page 1, | ||||||
| 3 | immediately below line 5, by inserting the following:

| 4 | "Section 2. Definitions. "Compost-amended soil" means soil | ||||||
| 5 | that has been mixed with compost produced with source-separated | ||||||
| 6 | landscape waste or a mixture of both source-separated landscape | ||||||
| 7 | waste and source-separated food scraps to meet an organic | ||||||
| 8 | matter content of 25%, and the compost component meets the | ||||||
| 9 | certification requirements of the U.S. Composting Council's | ||||||
| 10 | Seal of Testing Assurance program or any other equivalent, | ||||||
| 11 | nationally recognized program."; and
| ||||||
| 12 | on page 1, line 8, after "soil", by inserting the following: | ||||||
| 13 | "for landscape related use".
