| 1 | AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 4284 | ||||||
| 2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4284 on page 2, | ||||||
| 3 | immediately below line 12, by inserting the following: | ||||||
| 4 | "Nothing in this amendatory Act of the 104th General | ||||||
| 5 | Assembly or in any other Act replacing the term "mentally | ||||||
| 6 | handicapped" with "intellectual disability" is intended to | ||||||
| 7 | make any substantive change to eligibility, benefits, or | ||||||
| 8 | coverage under any provision of law. The replacement of the | ||||||
| 9 | term "mentally handicapped" with "intellectual disability" | ||||||
| 10 | shall be construed as a modernization of terminology only and | ||||||
| 11 | shall not be interpreted to narrow or expand eligibility.". | ||||||
