| 1 | AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 4255

| 2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4255 by replacing | ||||||
| 3 | everything after the enacting clause with the following:

| 4 | "Section 5. The Illinois Insurance Code is amended by | ||||||
| 5 | adding Section 143.35 as follows:
| ||||||
| 6 | (215 ILCS 5/143.35 new) | ||||||
| 7 | Sec. 143.35. Fidelity bonds for individuals. An insurer | ||||||
| 8 | that offers fidelity bonds may not be required to offer them to | ||||||
| 9 | any individual. An insurer that offers fidelity bonds may set | ||||||
| 10 | the scope of the bond for individuals with a record of arrest, | ||||||
| 11 | conviction, or imprisonment, including the amount of the bond | ||||||
| 12 | and the acts covered.".
