| 2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 3957, AS AMENDED, | ||||||
| 3 | with reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment No. | ||||||
| 4 | 1, on page 5, by replacing lines 1 through 11 with the | ||||||
| 5 | following: | ||||||
| 6 | "For the purpose of the enforcement of this Act, the | ||||||
| 7 | Director of Healthcare and Family Services shall notify the | ||||||
| 8 | Attorney General of any increase in the price of any essential | ||||||
| 9 | off-patent or generic drug under the Medical Assistance | ||||||
| 10 | Program under Section V of the Illinois Public Aid Code that | ||||||
| 11 | amounts to price gouging."; and

| 12 | on page 5, line 15, by replacing "shall" with "may".
