AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3577
AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 3577 as follows:
on page 1, line 7, by replacing "assistance" with "assistant";
and
on page 1, line 8, after "year", by inserting "through the
2020-2021 academic year"; and
on page 1, line 13, after "is", by inserting "a resident of
this State and"; and
on page 1, line 16, by replacing "an institution" with "a
public community college in this State"; and
on page 1, lines 17 and 18, by deleting "in the Roseland
Community Medical District"; and

on page 2, line 5, after "enrolled", by inserting ", except
that no recipient may receive more than $5,000 in a single
academic year"; and
on page 2, line 24, after the period, by inserting "Up to 2% of
the appropriation for this grant program may be used by the
Commission for the costs of administering the grant program.".
