AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3413
AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 3413, AS AMENDED,
with reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment No.
1, on page 4, lines 2 and 3, by replacing ", 17, and 18" with
"and 17"; and
on page 6, by replacing lines 9 through 12 with the following:
"Natural Resources prior to their removal. Nothing in this Act
shall be"; and
on page 7, line 1, by deleting "federal"; and
on page 7, by replacing lines 2 through 6 with the following:
"status of tribes. Despite the State of Illinois' long"; and
on page 7, by replacing lines 13 through 21 with the following:
"archeological sites, burial grounds, and mounds. The types of

"permits. If the State Burial Coordinator determines that
infrastructure repair, renovation, or improvements will
disturb an unregistered grave, human remains, or a grave
marker, then the State Burial Coordinator shall determine
whether the grave, remains, or grave marker is Native
American. If the grave, remains, or grave marker is identified
as Native American by the State Burial Coordinator, then any
and all work must immediately cease, and within 48 hours, the
Department of Natural Resources must be notified and"; and
on page 10, lines 14 and 15, by deleting ", as provided in the
National Historic Preservation Act of 1966,"; and
on page 11, by replacing lines 13 and 14 with the following:

Section 15. The Human Skeletal Remains Protection Act is
amended by repealing Sections 2, 4.75, and 11.".
