AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3140
AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 3140 on page 1,
lines 7 and 8, by deleting "prisons, jails, and other"; and
on page 1, lines 15 and 16, by deleting "the Department of
Corrections or"; and
on page 2, by replacing lines 21 through 24 with the following:
""Covered juvenile" means any person under 21 years of age
incarcerated in a Department of Juvenile Justice facility or
any person under 18 years of age detained in a county facility
under the authority of the local circuit court."; and
on page 3, line 6, by replacing "the facility" with "a facility
of the Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice"; and
on page 3, lines 7 and 8, by replacing "juvenile or
correctional" with "youth"; and

on page 3, line 21, by replacing "the Department of
Corrections" with "a youth facility"; and
on page 5, line 15, by replacing "juvenile facility" with
"facility, when available,"; and
