AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1765
AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 1765 on page 1,
line 11, by replacing "including" with "including, but not
limited to,"; and
on page 1, line 14, by inserting "political and religious
information,", after "fingerprints,"; and
on page 1, line 23, deleting "free of charge"; and
on page 2, line 4, by replacing "including" with "including,
but not limited to,"; and
on page 2, line 8, by inserting after the period the following:
"Information collected under this Section must be deleted
within 24 hours of the meeting. A background check of speakers
at meetings of public bodies may only be conducted if there is
probable cause or reasonable suspicion to believe that there

is a security risk to public officials and other persons who
will attend the meeting and that security risk is documented
by law enforcement.".
