| 1 | AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 645 | ||||||
| 2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 645 by replacing | ||||||
| 3 | everything after the enacting clause with the following: | ||||||
| 4 | "Section 5. The Self-Service Storage Facility Act is | ||||||
| 5 | amended by adding Section 10 as follows: | ||||||
| 6 | (770 ILCS 95/10 new) | ||||||
| 7 | Sec. 10. Renewal of lease; rent increases. | ||||||
| 8 | (a) An owner must provide at least 30 days' notice of any | ||||||
| 9 | proposed rent increase to an occupant. | ||||||
| 10 | (b) An owner must provide at least 30 days' notice that a | ||||||
| 11 | lease may be renewed. | ||||||
| 12 | (c) The notices required under this Section must be | ||||||
| 13 | transmitted by electronic mail.". | ||||||
