| 1 | AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 113

| 2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 113 on page 2, by | ||||||
| 3 | replacing lines 5 through 8 with the following:

| 4 | "(b-5) During a period beginning September 1 of the year of | ||||||
| 5 | a general election and ending the day after the general | ||||||
| 6 | election, the proper name or image of any officer or member | ||||||
| 7 | shall not be included in a public announcement on behalf of an | ||||||
| 8 | officer, member, or State agency related to any contract or | ||||||
| 9 | grant awarded by a State agency. Nothing in this subsection | ||||||
| 10 | (b-5) prohibits a State agency from issuing notification of the | ||||||
| 11 | award or grant of a contract, provided the notification does | ||||||
| 12 | not include the proper name or image of any officer or member. | ||||||
| 13 | This subsection (b-5) does not prohibit an officer or member | ||||||
| 14 | from attending any public or private event associated with the | ||||||
| 15 | award or grant of contract or from being included on a list of | ||||||
| 16 | attendees disseminated to the public.".
