WHEREAS,
Steve
Kettering
came
to
the
Iowa
Senate
as

a
long-time
community
banker,
the
president
of
Farmers

State
Bank;
and
5
WHEREAS,
Senator
Kettering
began
his
service
in
the
6
Senate
in
2003,
after
serving
as
a
member
of
the
Iowa
7
House
of
Representatives
from
1999
to
2002;
and
8
WHEREAS,
Senator
Kettering
represents
District
26,
9
which
includes
all
or
portions
of
Buena
Vista,
Carroll,
10
Crawford,
and
Sac
counties;
and
11
WHEREAS,
Senator
Kettering
served
as
the
Senate
12
Republican
Whip
and
during
his
tenure
has
served
on
a
13
wide
variety
of
standing
and
appropriations
committees,
14
including
the
Appropriations
(Ranking
Member),
15
Commerce,
Ethics,
Judiciary
(Ranking
Member),
Labor
and
16
Business
Relations,
Natural
Resources
and
Environment,
17
Rules
and
Administration,
and
State
Government

Committees,
and
the
Economic

(Ranking

and

WHEREAS,
Senator
Kettering
has

served
