caucuses

activities
prohibited.

A
public
or
nonpublic
school
shall
not
schedule
any
school

activity
after
the
conclusion
of
the
school
day
on
the
date
of

a
precinct
caucus
held
as
part
of
the
presidential
nominating
5
process.
For
purposes
of
this
section,
“school
activity”
6
includes
but
is
not
limited
to
any
athletic
event,
concert,
7
performance,
contest,
practice,
or
rehearsal,
or
any
similar
8
event.

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
prohibits
a
public
or
accredited
nonpublic
school

from
scheduling
any
school
activity
after
the
conclusion
of
the
14
school
day
on
the
date
of
a
precinct
caucus
held
as
part
of

the
presidential
nominating
process.
The
bill
provides
that
16
“school
activity”
includes
but
is
not
limited
to
any
athletic
17
event,
concert,
performance,
contest,
practice,
or
rehearsal,

or
any
similar
event.
