International
center
for
talented
and
gifted
education

Iowa
online
advanced
placement
academy
science,
technology,

engineering,
and
mathematics
initiative
.

1.
a.
The
state
board
of
regents
shall
establish
and
6
maintain
at
Iowa
City
as
an
integral
part
of
the
state
7
university
of
Iowa
the
international
center
for
talented
and
8
gifted
education.
The
international
center
shall
provide
9
programs
to
assist
classroom
teachers
to
teach
gifted
and
10
talented
students
in
regular
classrooms,
provide
programs
11
to
enhance
the
learning
experiences
of
gifted
and
talented
12
students,
serve
as
a
center
for
national
and
international
13
symposiums
and
policy
forums
for
enhancing
the
teaching
of
14
gifted
and
talented
students,
and
undertake
other
appropriate
15
activities
to
enhance
the
programs
of
the
center,
including,
16
but
not
limited
to,
coordinating
and
working
with
the
world
17
council
for
gifted
and
talented
children,
incorporated.

b.
An
international
center
endowment
fund
is
established
19
at
the
state
university
of
Iowa
and
gifts
and
grants
to
the
20
international
center
and
investment
earnings
and
returns
on
21
the
endowment
fund
shall
be
deposited
in
the
fund
and
may
be
22
expended
by
the
state
university
of
Iowa
for
the
purposes
for
23
which
the
international
center
was
established.

Iowa

advanced
placement
academy
science,

technology,
engineering,
and
mathematics
initiative
is

established
within
the
international
center
for
talented
and

gifted
education
at
the
state
university
of
Iowa
to
deliver,

with
an
emphasis
on
science,
technology,
engineering,
and
29
mathematics
coursework,
preadvanced
placement
and
advanced
30
placement
courses
to
high
school
students
throughout
the
state,
31
provide
training
opportunities
for
teachers
to
learn
how
to

teach
advanced
placement
courses
in
Iowa’s
high
schools,
and

provide
preparation
for
middle
school
students
to
ensure

success
in
high
school.

on
science,

engineering,
and
mathematics

to

school
students
throughout
the
state,
provide

for

to
learn
how
to
teach

advanced
placement
courses
in
Iowa’s
high
schools,
