the
following
new

person
using
an
artificial
light

source,
including
an
infrared
light
source,
to
hunt
coyotes.

EXPLANATION

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

Current
law
generally
prohibits
a
person
from
casting
8
artificial
light
on
a
highway
or
in
a
field,
woodland,
or
9
forest
while
taking
or
attempting
to
take
or
hunt
a
bird
or
10
animal
while
having
in
possession
or
control,
either
singly
11
or
as
one
of
a
group
of
persons,
any
firearm,
bow,
or
other
12
implement
or
device
whereby
a
bird
or
animal
could
be
killed
13
or
taken.
This
bill
allows
a
person
to
use
an
artificial
light
14
source,
including
an
infrared
light
source,
to
hunt
coyotes.
