Section 8A.311A, Code 2015, is amended by adding 1 2 the following new subsection: 1 3 NEW SUBSECTION. 4. If, pursuant to a master contract 1 4 established by the department, the department receives any 1 5 refund, rebate, or other financial incentive for a purchase of 1 6 a good or service pursuant to that contract, the department 1 7 shall provide that the agency or governmental subdivision 1 8 purchasing under that contract receive any refund, rebate, 1 9 or financial incentive, or pro rata portion thereof, as 1 10 applicable, received by the department for that purchase. 1 11 EXPLANATION 1 12 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 1 13 the explanation's substance by the members of the general assembly. 1 14 This bill requires the department of administrative services 1 15 to provide any state agency or governmental subdivision 1 16 purchasing a good or service under a master contract 1 17 established by the department with any refund, rebate, or 1 18 financial incentive, or pro rata portion thereof, received by 1 19 the department for that purchase.
