  1  1    Section 1.  FEASIBILITY STUDY == MODERN WORKING FARM TOURIST
  1  2 ATTRACTION.
  1  3    1.  The economic development authority and the department
  1  4 of agriculture and land stewardship shall jointly conduct a
  1  5 feasibility study regarding the establishment of a modern
  1  6 working farm tourist attraction to promote and educate tourists
  1  7 about the state's state=of=the=art agricultural practices.
  1  8    2.  The authority and the department shall submit a report
  1  9 regarding the feasibility study, including findings and
  1 10 recommendations, to the general assembly no later than January
  1 11 11, 2019.
  1 12    Sec. 2.  EFFECTIVE DATE.  This Act, being deemed of immediate
  1 13 importance, takes effect upon enactment.
  1 14                           EXPLANATION
  1 15 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with
  1 16 the explanation's substance by the members of the general assembly.
  1 17    This bill directs the economic development authority and
  1 18 the department of agriculture and land stewardship to jointly
  1 19 conduct a feasibility study regarding the establishment
  1 20 of a modern working farm tourist attraction to promote and
  1 21 educate tourists on about Iowa's state=of=the=art agricultural
  1 22 practices.
  1 23    The bill requires the authority and the department to submit
  1 24 a report regarding the feasibility study, including findings
  1 25 and recommendations, to the general assembly no later than
  1 26 January 11, 2019. The bill takes effect upon enactment.
