REPEAL.
Section
256D.9,
Code
2011,
is
repealed.

EFFECTIVE
DATE.
This
Act
takes
effect
June
30,

EXPLANATION

This
bill
continues
indefinitely
the
Iowa
early
intervention

block
grant
program
in
the
department
of
education
established
6
in
Code
chapter
256D.
The
Code
chapter
specifies
how
school
7
districts
may
expend
the
early
intervention
allocation
school
8
districts
receive
pursuant
to
Code
section
257.10,
subsection
9
11.
Current
law
would
eliminate
the
program
effective
July
1,
10
2012.

The
bill
takes
effect
June
30,
2012.
