  1  1    Section 1.  REPEAL.  Section 602.9110, Code 2016, is
  1  2 repealed.
  1  3                           EXPLANATION
  1  4 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with
  1  5 the explanation's substance by the members of the general assembly.
  1  6    This bill repeals Code section 602.9110 which provides that
  1  7 no annuity from the judicial retirement system shall be paid
  1  8 to any person, except a survivor, if the person is serving as a
  1  9 state officer or employee.
