amended
by
adding
the
following
new

the
road
use
tax

the
amount
derived
under
this

section
from
a
sales
tax
rate
of
one-half
of
one
percent.

EXPLANATION

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
requires
a
portion
of
the
revenue
collected
from

the
state
sales
tax
to
be
transferred
to
the
road
use
tax
fund
17
for
20
years,
to
be
distributed
according
to
the
road
use
tax
18
fund
distribution
formula.
The
amount
to
be
transferred
is
the
19
amount
derived
from
a
sales
tax
rate
of
one-half
of
1
percent.
20
The
requirement
is
repealed
on
June
30,
2034.
