                             AN ACT
 INCLUDING CERTAIN BOARD OF REGENTS INSTITUTION PEACE OFFICERS
    AND CIVIL COMMITMENT UNIT FOR SEX OFFENDERS EMPLOYEES IN THE
    PROTECTION OCCUPATION CATEGORY OF THE IOWA PUBLIC EMPLOYEES'
    RETIREMENT SYSTEM.

 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:
    Section 1.  Section 97B.49B, subsection 1, paragraph e, Code
 2016, is amended by adding the following new subparagraphs:
    NEW SUBPARAGRAPH.  (15)  A peace officer employed by an
 institution under the control of the state board of regents
 whose position requires law enforcement certification pursuant
 to section 262.13.
    NEW SUBPARAGRAPH.  (16)  A person employed by the department
 of human services as a psychiatric security specialist at a
 civil commitment unit for sexually violent offenders facility.
