The
department
of
health
and
human

services
shall
develop
and
oversee
a
pilot
program
beginning
3
January
1,
2024,
and
ending
December
31,
2025,
to
allow

Medicaid
members
in
specified
categories
to
receive
health
5
care
services,
as
defined
in
section
135N.1,
through
a
direct
6
health
care
agreement,
with
the
Medicaid
program
acting
as
the
7
third-party
payor
for
such
services
utilizing
state-only
funds.

The
eligible
Medicaid
member
categories
shall
include
childless
9
adults
and
pregnant
women.

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
