The
department
of
human
services
shall
contractually
require
2
a
Medicaid
managed
care
organization
to
provide
at
least
one
3
evidence-based
home
visit
for
every
newborn.
The
contract
4
shall
provide
that
if
the
home
visit
is
deemed
by
the
managed
5
care
organization
not
to
be
a
reimbursable
Medicaid
covered
6
service,
the
managed
care
organization
shall
provide
the
7
newborn
home
visit
as
a
value-added
service.
Evaluation
8
of
the
provision
of
the
required
newborn
home
visit
shall
9
be
incorporated
into
the
managed
care
contract
performance
10
measures
and
the
department
shall
track
and
analyze
the
11
resulting
data
to
determine
any
improvements
in
health
outcomes
12
due
to
the
provision
of
the
service.

inclusion

This
bill
directs
the
department
of
human
services
(DHS)

to
contractually
require
a
Medicaid
managed
care
organization

(MCO)
to
provide
at
least
one
evidence-based
home
visit

for
every
newborn.
The
contract
shall
provide
that
if
the
20
home
visit
is
deemed
by
the
managed
care
organization
not
21
to
be
a
reimbursable
Medicaid
covered
service,
the
managed
22
care
organization
shall
provide
the
newborn
home
visit
as
a
23
value-added
service.
The
bill
requires
DHS
to
incorporate
the
24
evaluation
of
the
provision
of
the
required
newborn
home
visit

and
to
track

the
