Section
35A.16,
subsection
3,
paragraph
a,
Code
1
2020,
is
amended
to
read
as
follows:

a.
If
sufficient
moneys
are
available,
the
department
3
shall
annually
allocate
ten
thousand
dollars
to
each
county
4
commission
of
veteran
affairs,
or
to
each
county
sharing
the
5
services
of
an
executive
director
or
administrator
pursuant
6
to
chapter
28E
,
to
be
used
to
provide
services
to
veterans
7
pursuant
to
section
35B.6
and
for
training,
education,
and
8
related
expenses
of
county
veteran
service
officers
.
Each
9
county
receiving
an
allocation
shall
annually
report
on
10
expenditure
of
the
allocation
in
a
form
agreed
to
by
the
11
department
and
county
representatives.

with

the

the
members

the

This
bill
concerns
training
for
county
veteran
service

officers.

Code
section
35A.16,
concerning
the
county
commissions
of

veteran
affairs
fund,
is
amended
to
provide
that
counties
may
19
use
moneys
allocated
to
each
county
from
the
fund
for
training,
20
education,
and
related
expenses
of
county
veteran
service
21
officers.
