Section
147.34,
subsection
1,
Code
2016,
is

amended
to
read
as
follows:

1.
Each
board
shall
by
rule
prescribe
the
examination
or
3
examinations
required
for
licensure
for
the
profession
and
the
4
manner
in
which
an
applicant
shall
complete
the
examination
5
process.
A
board
may
develop
and
administer
the
examination,
6
may
designate
a
national,
uniform,
or
other
examination
as
the
7
prescribed
examination,
or
may
contract
for
such
services.
8
Dentists
shall
pass
an
examination
approved
by
a
majority
of
9
the
dentist
members
of
the
dental
board.
The
dental
board
10
shall
approve
and
offer
at
least
one
station-based
examination
11
that
does
not
involve
the
use
of
human
subjects.

EXPLANATION

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with
14
the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
requires
the
dental
board
to
approve
and
offer
at

least
one
station-based
licensing
examination
that
does
not

involve
the
use
of
human
subjects
to
applicants
for
a
dental
