                    HOUSE RESOLUTION NO.    
                             BY  HINSON
  1  1 A Resolution honoring and congratulating Kaleb Cook for
  1  2    his volunteer service and receiving a Prudential
  1  3    Spirit of Community Award.
  1  4    WHEREAS, Mr. Kaleb Cook, an esteemed resident of
  1  5 Robins and a student at Linn=Mar High School, has
  1  6 achieved national recognition for exemplary volunteer
  1  7 service by receiving a 2018 Prudential Spirit of
  1  8 Community Award; and
  1  9    WHEREAS, this prestigious award, presented by
  1 10 Prudential Financial in partnership with the National
  1 11 Association of Secondary School Principals, honors
  1 12 young volunteers across America who have demonstrated
  1 13 an extraordinary commitment to serving their
  1 14 communities; and
  1 15    WHEREAS, Mr. Cook earned this award by generously
  1 16 giving his time and energy to creating an organization
  1 17 that facilitates inclusive dance therapy for people
  1 18 with special needs, and also volunteering for
  1 19 organizations that promote inclusion and equality for
  1 20 special needs individuals, such as Special Olympics,
  1 21 Best Buddies, and Camp Courageous; and
  1 22    WHEREAS, the prosperity of the state of Iowa, the
  1 23 strength of our communities, and the overall vitality
  1 24 of American society depend, in great measure, upon the
  1 25 dedication of young people like Mr. Cook who use their
  1 26 considerable talents and resources to serve others; NOW
  1 27 THEREFORE,
  1 28    BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES,
  2  1 That the House of Representatives hereby honors and
  2  2 congratulates Mr. Kaleb Cook as a recipient of a
  2  3 Prudential Spirit of Community Award, recognizes
  2  4 his outstanding record of volunteer service, peer
  2  5 leadership, and community spirit, and extends best
  2  6 wishes for his continued success and happiness.
