RELATING
TO
HUNTING
BY
PERSONS
UNDER
THE
AGE
OF
SIXTEEN.
BE
IT
ENACTED
BY
THE
GENERAL
ASSEMBLY
OF
THE
STATE
OF
IOWA:
Section
1.
Section
483A.24,
subsection
8,
Code
2020,
is
amended
to
read
as
follows:
8.
A
resident
of
the
state
person
under
sixteen
years
of
age
is
not
required
to
have
a
hunting
license
to
hunt
game
if
accompanied
by
the
minor’s
parent
or
guardian
or
in
company
with
any
other
competent
adult
with
the
consent
of
the
minor’s
parent
or
guardian,
if
the
person
accompanying
the
minor
possesses
a
valid
hunting
license;
however,
there
must
be
one
licensed
adult
accompanying
each
person
under
sixteen
years
of
age.
The
minor
must
have
a
deer
hunting
license
to
hunt
deer
and
a
wild
turkey
hunting
license
to
hunt
wild
turkey

subsection
is
not
restricted
by
the
provisions
of
section
483A.31.
