152.2,
Code
2011,
is
amended
to
read
as
1
follows:

152.2
Executive
director
——
assistants.

The
board
shall
appoint
a
full-time
executive
director
,
and
4
shall
conduct
a
performance
review
of
the
executive
director
5
at
least
once
per
year
.
The
executive
director
shall
be
a
6
registered
nurse
and
shall
not
be
a
member
of
the
board.
The
7
governor,
with
the
approval
of
the
executive
council
pursuant
8
to
section
8A.413,
subsection
3
,
under
the
pay
plan
for
exempt
9
positions
in
the
executive
branch
of
government,
shall
set
the
10
salary
of
the
executive
director.

EXPLANATION
12
This
bill
requires
that
the
members
of
the
board
of
nursing
13
conduct
a
performance
review
of
the
executive
director
at
least
14
once
per
year.
