A
prosecuting
witness
who
is
a
minor,
as
defined
in
section
3
599.1,
in
a
criminal
case
involving
a
public
offense
or
a
4
delinquent
act,
other
than
a
simple
misdemeanor,
shall
have
the
5
right
to
refuse
a
pretrial
interview,
pretrial
deposition,
or
6
any
other
discovery
request
involving
direct
contact
with
the
7
defendant.

The
inclusion

this
explanation
does
not
constitute

This
bill
relates
to
pretrial
contact
between
a
prosecuting

witness
who
is
a
minor
and
the
defendant.

The
bill
provides
that
a
prosecuting
witness
who
is
a

minor,
as
defined
in
Code
section
599.1,
in
a
criminal
case
15
involving
a
public
offense
or
a
delinquent
act,
other
than
a
16
simple
misdemeanor,
shall
have
the
right
to
refuse
a
pretrial

pretrial

or
any
other
discovery
