  1  1    Section 1.  NEW SECTION.  136D.3A  Minors' use of tanning
  1  2 devices prohibited.
  1  3     A tanning facility shall not allow a person under seventeen
  1  4 years of age to use a tanning device.
  1  5                           EXPLANATION
  1  6 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with
  1  7 the explanation's substance by the members of the general assembly.
  1  8    This bill relates to tanning facilities and creates new Code
  1  9 section 136D.3A prohibiting a tanning facility from allowing a
  1 10 person under 17 years of age to use a tanning device.
  1 11    A person who violates the bill is subject to a civil
  1 12 penalty not to exceed $1,000 and an injunction restraining any
  1 13 violation.
