  1  1    Section 1.  NEW SECTION.  468.12A  Abstract.
  1  2    An attorney or abstractor who prepares an abstract of
  1  3 title for land located within an existing drainage or levee
  1  4 district shall indicate that the land is part of such district.
  1  5 The county where the land is located shall provide records
  1  6 necessary for the attorney or abstractor to prepare the
  1  7 abstract.
  1  8                           EXPLANATION
  1  9 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with
  1 10 the explanation's substance by the members of the general assembly.
  1 11    This bill applies to land located within a drainage or
  1 12 levee district. An attorney or abstractor must indicate that
  1 13 the land is part of such district when preparing an abstract
  1 14 of title. The county where the land is located must provide
  1 15 records necessary for the preparation.
